Police Kills Four Armed Robbers in Ibadan •recovers Ak47, 2 pistols, 110 live ammunitions

NIGERIA (Oyo)- Three suspected armed robbers were gunned down during the early hour of Friday by men of the Nigeria Police Force, Oyo State Command at Ibadan-Oyo road, as the Federal Patrol Team also killed another robber at Seko area along Lagos road.

While briefing the newsmen about the incidence, the State’s Police Commissioner M.A Indabawa, said the car robbers went to one Engr. Adeniran of Elewuro area, Akobo and carted away his Honda Accord with registration number TD206AAA along with other valuables.

According to the owner of the vehicle who was present to claim his belongings, the gang hid at an uncompleted building close to his house, forcefully opened the door and locked him in the toilet after the operation.

Recovered along with the vehicle are one AKA47 rifle, one double barrel locally made cut-to-size shot-gun,110rounds of ammunition, nine round of live cartridges, eight assorted mobile phones, one palmtop and sum of N17,170.

In a related development, the federal highway patrol (FHP) which stationed along Lagos road at Seko area gunned down another car robber while others escaped into the bush.

FHP recovered a green Toyota Camry with registration number ST57AAA.

The vehicle particulars which revealed one Omowumi Abubakar of Yinusa Balogun, Okota Palace way, Lagos as the owner along with two short guns, 12 rounds of live cartridges, one knife, four expensive handsets and one cutlass.
