The Senate President,David Mark, governors Abiola Ajimobi,Rauf Aregbesola and Kayode Fayemi are expected at the installation of new Archbishop of Ibadan Archbishop, Most Rev. Dr. Gabriel Abegunrin next week Friday.

This followed the retirement of Reverend Felix Alaba Job who led the archdiocese in the last 43 years and on attaining the age of 75 years which is the canonical retirement age.

The chairman of central planning committee for the installation, Rev Felix Ethapemi said representatives of the Pope, other senators, members of House of Representatives, royal fathers and church dignitaries are to grace the occasion holding at the SS. Peter and Paul Major seminary,Bodija,Ibadan. Ethapemi disclosed at a press conference on Thursday in Ibadan that the new Archbishop will be received by faithful at the Ibadan end of the Ibadan-Ife expressway .

According to him,from the convoy will move to the cathedral at 0ke Padi where Archbishop Abegunrin will be received by Archbishop Job adding that as part of the reception, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will take place at the cathedral to be led by the  two archbishops.

He added that every parish in Ibadan Archdiocese is expected to observe the same hour in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament. The planning committee while urging Christians to participate in politics said they should not complain that those in power are not doing well.

"The christians should participate in politics to make a change in the political landscape instead of blaming those holding public offices".

Ethapemi however caution politicians with their utterances and not heat up the polity.  He called for prayers as we move towards the 2015 elections.
