25 CIVILIANS, 5 VIGILANTE YOUTHS KILLED, IN AN OPEN FIRE CLASH WITH BOKOHARAM

More than 25 civilians and 5 vigilante youths have been killed by the suspect members of Islamic sect, Boko Haram following the youth attack of the sect members in Dawashi village of Kukawa Local Government Area of Borno State.

CEOAFRICA news correspondent gathered that the Civilian JTF, who went without the backing of the military task force were overpowered as the terrorists fired gunshots on their convoy, killing five of them and leaving one injured.

The scene of the incident, Mainok, about 50 kilometers away from Maiduguri, is said to be one of the areas dominated by suspected Boko Haram members until over 40 of them were killed by JTF who also burned more than 100 motorcycle suspected to be used for the terrorist activities.

Some members of the vigilante youths at the sight of their members’ corpse further mobilized more people to Mainok village with the support of military JTF and set ablaze, the entire village.
