Decked in their sparkling white dresses signifying purity, young ladies from Lagos and its environs who are virgins under the umbrella of Virginspride Network gathered for their 5th annual celebration of purity on Saturday 5th August 2017 at the event hall of the Chevron Recreation Centre in Gbagada, Lagos Nigeria of the West African Continent..

The highlights of the event are opening remarks by Mrs Adeniran, who emphasized that living the life of purity should be encouraged as it would help our society. Breaking the vision was done by Mrs, Odebiyi, the initiator of the network. Mrs Nkechi Odebiyi said that the Virginspride Network was a direct instruction from God who told her to raise virgins for him as a step away from ministering to commercial sex workers which she was engaged in initially. Then there was the Father’s charge by the Father of the day in the person of Mr. Okosodo followed by words of encouragement given by Eunice Oboreveori who narrated the story of how she only recently narrowly escaped losing her virginity were it not for the timely call she received from her mum. Then came the moment for celebrating purity which was taking the charge, making the promise to remain  chaste, pure and untouched until after wedding. This was followed by prayers for the ladies and the nobles who were boys who also decided to remain virgins till after wedding.
