Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has said that it will sanction Aero Contractors if it is culpable in a case of flight cancellation without proper explanation.

This was declared by the Director General of the NCAA, Akinkuotu who also declared on Monday that he has directed the Director of Consumer Protection (DCP), Adamu Abdullahi, to immediately commence proceedings prelude to appropriate sanctions on Aero Contractors.

He was said to have given this directive after a careful consideration of a report from the Directorate of Consumer Protection (DCP).

The report however detailed how Aero Contractors ABJ-LOS service flight no. AJ 128 was delayed repeatedly and eventually cancelled without any explanation, resulting to affected passengers spending the night at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
