Mimiko set to take over South West from APC- LP

The governor of Ondo State, Olusegun Mimiko will lead the onslaught against the All progressives Congress, APC,  in the South-West  during the 2015 elections Labour Party (LP) said.

CEOAFRICA. com gathered that the party’s secretary in Ogun State, Sunday Ogini, disclosed this Abeokuta.

According to Mr. Sunday, governor Mimiko held a brief strategic meeting with the leadership of the LP led by the state Chairman Olabode  Simpson, weekend and re-established  his commitment to  take over the South West from the ruling APC.

He also said that the party in its bid to dislodge the ruling APC has persuaded the immediate past governor of Ogun State,  Otunba Gbenga Daniel and other prominent personalities to the party.

 Governor Mimiko is not taking the issue of taking over the South West lightly through election in 2014 and 2015, he said.

He however, urged  the governor not to relent  in his efforts to provide dividends of democracy  to the people of Ondo State, describing it as a goodwill for the success of the party in the state.

The meeting had in attendance the Deputy National Chairman of the party, Mr. Joseph Akinlaja, the state Financial Secretary, Abayomi Arab, among others.
