Taiwo Ogunjobi advices Golden Eaglets to remain focused

 In Lagos, Taiwo Ogunjobi, the Chairman, Osun Football Agency, has advised the Golden Eaglets to remain focused at the ongoing FIFA U-17 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

According to source, he said “They have done well so far and I pray they remain in this form, and even improve on their current form,’’.

“The Eaglets need to remain focused in this tournament if they must coast steadily to the finals.’’

The Eaglets won their first match 6-1 against Mexico and drew their second match 3-3 against Sweden.

They have won the competition three times, in 1985, 1993 and 2007, and they were first runners-up in 1987, 2001 and 2009.

The Eaglets’ last group stage match will be against Iraq in Group F on Friday, with kick-off time at 2 p.m. Nigerian time.

The Nigerian side are currently leading the group’s table, with four points from two matches, ahead of Sweden who also have four points.
