Clashes in Rio and Sao Paulo between Police and Protesters-Brazil

CEOAFRICA.com gathered that there was a clash between Police and Protesters soon after a peaceful march by about 5,000 people in support of striking teachers who want increase in their basic salary and better working conditions in Rio and Sao Paulo.

Our source said that about 4 police officers were injured and seven banks vandalized during the unrest, also a police patrol car was set ablaze alongside some object on the street.

It was also reported that the police who responded with tear gas and baton charges had detained dozens of peopled.

Concerns has however been raised over Brazil's security situation as it poses a challenge to cities that will host the 2014 World Cup and 2016 Olympic Games.
