CEOAFRICA entertainment news desk gathered that Zimbabwe is bracing up for another edition of the Most Ugly Man in Zimbabwe competition popularly known as “Mr. Ugly”.

The competition which started five years ago has attracted a lot of interests locally and abroad. This was initiated by David Machowa a.k.a Apama.

It was gathered that the last winner of Mr. Ugly competition, William Masvinu is ready to defend his title again in the forthcoming edition.

The initiator of the project, Apama, said the organizers have managed to secure US1, 500 for the competition, which will be held at City Sports Bar on Friday October 12, 2013.

“We were unfortunate because most of our sponsors could not commit themselves to the pageant because of their focus at the UNWTO build-up. We were planning to have a bigger contest,” referring to previous disappointment experienced by the organizers.

He disclosed that the top prize includes two nights for two at the Executive Hotel and a beast that is expected to be delivered alive to the winner.

He also said that plans are underway to expand the pageant beyond Zimbabwean borders into the SADC region.
