KENYAN ACTRESS, NYONG’O TO RECEIVE HOLLYWOOD FILM AWARD

Lupita Nyongo, a Kenyan actress based in Hollywood together with the director of the ’12 Years a Slave’, Steve McQueen are expected would be presented with the Hollywood Film Awards on the 21st of October.

CEOAFRICA news desk has gathered that both Lupita and the director would get the Hollywood Breakout Director Award and New Hollywood Award respectively at the 17th annual Hollywood Film Awards.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, founder and Executive Director, Carlos de Abreu who conveyed this information, the Award ceremony would be a case of celebrating exceptionally talented director and actress for their outstanding work and creative vision.

However, the story which is being celebrated in the Award is about a true story of a free black man from the north who was deceived and sold into slavery in the south in mid-19th century America.
