Casablanca will host the first International Exhibition of Technology and Electricity or “Electric 2015″ from September 16 to 19.

The exhibition is organized by the Moroccan Federation of Electricity under the supervision of the Housing Ministry, the city policy, the Ministry of Transportation and Logistics, and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Training.

Reda Sekkat, the Moroccan federal president of electricity, said at a press conference organized on Thursday that this event demonstrates the support of a key sector in the national economy and improves the sector by contributing to the strengthening of national products and keeping up with the state’s strategy.

Sekkat pointed out that the event will feature the presence of many foreign exhibitors, particularly from France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, and some African countries, highlighting that the exhibition is expected to attract about ten thousand visitors.

He stated that the event is the space for communication and exchange of experiences and expertise and the discovery of new products and the latest developments in the electricity field.

He added that the Federation has scheduled, during the event, two forums on “electrical safety in residential homes” and “smart electrical networks”.

According to the same source, the exhibition will also witness the signing of four partnership agreements with the National Bureau of Water and Electricity, the Moroccan Association of Exporters, the Higher School of Electricity and Mechanics, and the Association of Professional Electricians.
