PLAYOFFS TOWARDS THE 2014 WORLD CUP COMMENCES OCTBER 12

Stallion of Burkina Faso will hosting the Desert Warriors of Algeria in Ouagadougou by October 12 in the playoff that determine the five teams  that will represent the continent at the 2014 World in Brazil.

Abidjan on the other hand is expected to take off an hour after the start of the battle in Ouagadougou as Cote d’Ivoire begins its quest with trick tie against Senegal Lions.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria on their own part will take up on Sunday, October 13 as it will be the guest of Walya Antelopes of Ethiopia in Addis Ababa with the match expected to kick-off also at the same time.

The Indomitable Lions of Cameroun will start its own against Tunisia in Rhade the same day, an hour after Ethiopia and Nigeria started theirs.

The last of the first leg of the qualifiers will be in Kumasi, Ghana on Tuesday Oct. 15 as the Black Stars takes on Egypt Pharaohs. The match will kickoff at 1600 GMT.

While Super Eagles will play Ethiopia in Calabar on November 16, the  venues, dates and time for the return legs for the remaining four matches have yet to be confirmed but must be played between Nov. 15 and 19.
