HEARTLAND FC PLAYERS STORMS GOVERNMENT HOUSE IN AGITAION FOR THEIR PAY

Players of Hearthland FC of Owerri began an indefinite strike yesterday to press for their unpaid sign-on fees and accumulated match bonuses.

CEOAFRICA news desk gathered that the players had yesterday ignored the morning training and subsequently storming the Imo State Government House to seek audience with Governor Rochas Okorocha concerning their plight.

According to the report, the players had waited at the gate of the state House from 7am till about 2.30pm before they were attempted by the Chief of Staff who promised to take up the matter to the governor before the end of the day (yesterday).

The Heartland however agitate among others the outstanding sign-on fees for last season and this season, as well as their accumulated match bonuses.
