The United State of America has warned its citizens against travelling to Kenya after the September 21 terrorists attack.

CEOAFRICA news desk gathered that in a statement by the US Department of State that US citizens in Kenya and those considering travel to Kenya have been warned to evaluate cautiously their personal security in light of continuing and recently heightened threats from terrorism and the high rate of crime in some areas.

The US government further warned that there will be more attacks in Nairobi and Mombasa targeted at US nationals, Kenyans and those from other Western countries, stressing that it had continued to receive information about potential terrorist threat.

Further on the report, the attack is said could be in form of “suicide operations, bombings, kidnapping, attacks on civil aviation and maritime vessels in or near Kenya ports.”

US expressed fear that although the pursuit of those responsible for previous terrorist activities continues, many of those involved remain at large and still operate in the region.

It however explained that the attacks by Al Shabaab are by Kenya’s invasion in Somalia which was intended to fight the terror group, adding that the group will continue to fight back in revenge.
