Nigerian Artistes Dominates Forbes List of Richest African Artistes

CEOAFRICA entertainment news gathered that Nigerian musicians and producers dominated the 2013 list of 10 most bankable/richest artistes in Africa.

A list which was put together by Channel O and Forbes Africa uses factors such as endorsement value, popularity, show rated, Sales, awards, You Tube views, appearance in newspapers, investment, social media presence, influence and many others to determine its recipients.

Number one on the list is the American-based Senegalese musician, AKON, who is the CEO of Konvict Music, followed by Don Jazzy, producer and CEO of Mavin Records, influential producer, MTN, Samsung and Loyal Milk endorsement. He has D’Banj, Kanye West, Beyonce and Jay Z on production credit.

Number three has the music duo of P Square, who has been featured on Forbes Africa twice, sold out concert. They are presidential guest in at least five African Countries. The fourth on the list is D’Banj, a music Artiste with International music brand, GO D Music deal and Sony entertainment deal.  

Fifth slot belongs to WIZKID, a Music Artiste with EME. He is the Starboy CEO, affiliation with Disturbing London, with several international collaboration to his credit. He is the highest paid Pepsi ambassador in Africa and also an ambassador of MTN.

2FACE IDIBIA is number Six on the list. The African Queen Musician boasts of 10 million discs and at least 7 million digital sales, coupled with multiple ambassadors, one campaign… associated with Guinness, Haven Homes, Airtel Worldwide and philanthropist – 2face foundation.

The Seventh position is honourably occupied by Angolan ANSELMO RALPH, a Music Artiste, Samsung and Coca Cola ambassador, Angola prince, Perfume line, clothing label, multi-million dollar tour bus, Sony artiste.

SARKODIE, Ghanaian famous rapper is on Eighth position. He is the Presidential youth ambassador Ghana, endorsed by Sark clothing, Samsung ambassador, fan milk Ghana.

The Oleku singer, ICE PRINCE, is Ninth on the list. A  Music Artiste with Six million downloads, he owns 2 studio owner, one foundation member, Plug N Play ambassador, Zamani foundation to his credit.

Number Ten is BANKY W, the famous Strong Thing producer/Music Artiste. Co owner EME records, Samsung Ambassador, Philanthropist, multiple award winners
