The screening exercise for the national Under-23 team will commence in Abuja on November 10 at FIFA Goal Project pitch.

According to team administrator Hassan Sirajo the first phase of the screening and camping is expected to open on November 10 in Abuja with players selected from the domestic league.

Chief Coach of the Under-23 Samson Siasia had earlier fixed November 3 for the camping to open but the NFF asked for a one week grace to enable them get all the logistics in place.

Siasia said the screening exercise will be through ‘elimination by substitution’ adding he is going to be very thorough with the screening exercise to ensure that he picked the best players that will represent the country well in the All Africa Games qualifiers leading to the 2016 Olympic Games in Brazil.

The first phase of the exercise will see about 40 selected players camped at the FIFA Technical Centre in Abuja.
