The former Kebbi Governor, Alhaji Adamu Aleiro, on Friday declared interest to contest the Kebbi Central Senatorial District in 2015 on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Aliero, represented by Alhaji kabiru Giant, obtained the senatorial nomination form in Birnin Kebbi.

He enjoined the members of PDP to unite towards realising the objectives of the party in the 2015 general elections. He said the decision to contest the seat was after due consultations with stakeholders, friends, family mwmbers and the desire to develop the area.

He called on party faithful to support his ambition, for unity and progress of the party and development. Aleiro was elected senator that repsented Kebbi central senatorial district from 2007 to 2009 from where he was appointed Minister of the FCT until 2009.
