President Goodluck Jonathan has the support of Sokoto women for his 2015 re-election bid.

In a statement by the Sokoto State women leader of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), Hajiya Kulu Abdullahi Rabah gave the assurance that majority of the women in state are 100 per cent behind Jonathan.

According to the press report, Hajiya Kulu said Sokoto women were happy with Jonathan’s achievements.

She said the women were pleased with what Jonathan had done in the agricultural and educational sector.

They were also happy over the construction of roads in Sokoto State and the nation in general.

With the 2015 elections fast approaching, many are urging Jonathan to run for a second tenure while some others have advised him not to run.

Among those advising him to forget his second term ambition is Cardinal Anthony Olubunmi Okogie, a former Catholic Archbishop of Lagos.

Meanwhile, the South-South Chiefs and Elders Council, SSCEC International, had earlier threatened to arrest him if he fails to contest in 2015 presidential election.
