Niger Tornadoes Defeats Mighty Jet FC by A Lone Goal

Niger Tornadoes Football club of Minna  defeated Mighty Jet football club of Jos by a lone goal after a cracker in the week 28 of the Nigeria National League played at the Bako Kotangora stadium in Minna.

Both teams on Wednesday evening played a very entertaining game in the first half but could not locate the net in spite of various attempts.

The resilient Mighty Jet players had control of the game in the early minutes of the second half and missed a clear chance that would have been converted into a goal.

 However, the Tornadoes players woke up to the challenge when Kayode Agboola was introduced 75 minutes into the game and the game took a different dimension with the Tornadoes attack becoming sharper.

 After, serious pressure the goal came in through a set piece when Stephen Ishiaku slotted in a corner kick at exactly 85 minutes of play.

 The Niger Tornadoes fans who could not hold their joy when the goal was scored heaved sigh of relief after the flamboyant Mighty Jet shot-stopper Kenneth Obilo could not stop the header from Ishaiku.

 The centre referee Mr Katsina Daniel from Benue state blew the final whistle after the 4 minutes added time was exhausted.
