Football lovers in Ibadan will have their hands full today as the city’s two darling clubs, Shooting Stars and Crown FC, compete for the maximum three points at the same venue in different fixtures.

It will be contrasting fortunes for the two sides in their respective leagues.

While 3SC will be hoping to cement their position at the top of the Nigeria National League Group B with a victory, Crown will be desperate for the three points as they battle relegation in the Nigeria Professional Football League.

3SC will be the first to take to the pitch against Gabros of Nnewi by 2pm in the first match of the day with Crown trading tackles against title hopefuls, Nasarawa United, in the second game by 4pm.

Speaking to our correspondent, the media officer of 3SC, Jubril Arowolo, said the players were ready for the title run-in.

“The problem facing the technical crew now is the players to select for the game because all the players are battle ready.

The target is the three points to put a gap between us and Gabros as we continue our quest for promotion,” he said.
