The All Progressives Congress (APC) Director of Publicity and Strategy in Oyo State, Olawale Sadare, has described the victory of Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun State as a pointer to the fact of the impending revolution that will shape the 2015 general election.

He said: “Again, the world has been made to see the champions of liberty and freedom struggle in the good people of the state who dared the odds of intimidation, harassment and inducement to exercise their rights to choose who lead them. They have indeed recorded a victory against the forces of oppression made up of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)-led federal government and its agents in Yorubaland.

“It is recalled that the same people stood tall in 2007 and 2011 to make a loud statement as courageous citizens by supporting candidates of the progressive party despite the challenges faced in the hands of some impostors. With this new development, the coast is now clearer for the all-important political revolution required in 2015 general election for Nigeria to be reclaimed from the hands of charlatans.

“Therefore, we urge the electorate to use their voting power to ensure continuity in states like Oyo and others where the APC has been able to deliver good governance and effect the desired change at both the centre and all the PDP-controlled states for Nigeria to realise her full potential and ranks among the best in the comity of nations.”
