A clergy and notable preacher, lady evangelist Akintola Christiana Atinuke has warned youths against peer group influence and danger of keeping undue intimacy with friends while on campus.
She disclosed this while addressing newsmen after her sermon during the ongoing annual convention of His Glory Power Ministry at their camp ground, along Lagos Ibadan Expressway.
The preacher who narrated how his brother Oluwashayo Peter Fapohunda became a gay victim through peer group influence while in school, using it to teach the youth that our culture and bible does not in support of such act.
“My brother was unknowingly lured into the act of gay from his secondary school days and the act is hunting him till today even after he had married with two children.
"The incident was what led to how he fled the country when some of the pictures of the illicit act exposed and became talk of the town around our community at Oreofe Estate, Elewi Odo area of Ibadan”.
“Apart from the stigmatization from the people of the community, some of our family members are also demanding for atonement for the gods through blood sacrifice from his children, not only that, the Police has also declared him wanted and even placed a ransom to whoever could help them in apprehending him”, the preacher noted while warning youths never to indulge in such immoral act.
Mrs. Akinola however urged parents to pray for God’s guidance over their wards as they lived independently in various schools’ campuses apart from teaching them good moral values right from home.
