FCT Minister Gives Uganda’s President Key To The City Of Abuja

The President of Uganda, His Excellency Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has been given the Key to the City of Abuja having conferred on him, the Honorary Citizenship of Abuja by the FCT Minister, Malam Muhammad Musa Bello.

The president who arrived Nigeria today on the invitation of the National Defence College of Nigeria, Abuja where he will be Guest Lecturer at the inauguration of Course 26 training programme of the college.

This was made known in a press statement by the Press Secretary to the FCT Minister, Mr.Cosmas Uzodinma which was made available to newsmen in Abuja.

In a brief ceremony at the Airport, the FCT Minister declared, that he was presenting the key on behalf of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari and the residents of the Federal Capital Territory. He welcomed Mr. Museveni to Nigeria and to Abuja in particular.

President Museveni is expected to deliver a lecture titled, “Sub-Regional Cooperation and Stability of Member States: Economic Community of East African States in Perspectives,” in which he is expected to x-ray the challenges confronting efforts being made to build and sustain regional economic cooperation institutions from the perspective of the East African experience.

Upon arrival, President Museveni also inspected a guard of honour mounted by officers and men of the Brigade of Guards of the Nigerian Army against a background of cultural displays by the Abuja Cultural troupe.
