Board expresses shock over death of Nollywood actor Olumide BakareThe National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB) has expressed shock over the death of popular veteran Nollywood actor, Chief Olumide Bakare.

Alhaji Adedayo Thomas, the Executive Director of the board made this known in a statement made available to newsmen on Monday in Abuja.

The Director described the late actor as a rear gem and a hardworking personality that had made his mark in Nollywood.

“ We at the NFVCB join in sending his family and fans our heart-felt condolences; may God Almighty console all who mourn his loss.’’

Bakare,65, who was diagnosed with a respiratory disorder, was discharged from the University College Hospital (UCH) last year.

The Ibadan-based actor and former NTA staff, fondly called Chief Koko on the heels of his role in a TV series, ‘Koko Close’ back in the days, had been battling ill-health since 2013.
