The Confederation of African Football (CAF), has appointed Algeria’s Mehdi Abid Charef, as the referee for next month’s 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier between Nigeria and Tanzania in Port Harcourt.

Charef will be assisted by his countrymen: Abdelhak Etchiali (first assistant), Ahmed Tamen (second assistant) and Mustapha Ghorbal (reserve referee).

Inyangi Bokinda from Congo DR, will be the Match Commissioner.

The reverse fixture between Nigeria and Tanzania ended in a goalless draw.

The Super Eagles are already out of contention, for a place at next year’s AFCON, as Egypt has picked the only ticket from the group.
