20 soldiers to be tried by the Nigerian Army for corruption

The Nigerian Army has constituted a General Court Martial to try 20 soldiers on charges differentiating from murder up to sales of arms.

this was stated by The  General Officer Commanding in the army, Victor Ezugwu, adding  that those that will be tried have been involved in criminal activities ranging from murder, illegal sales of firearms and crimes against civilians.

According to Ezugwu these crimes were committed within the Theatre of Operation Lafiya Dole.
Justice is said will be timely and quickly dispensed to those that have been found guilty of the crimes.

The GOC has further stated that many soldiers have been tried and punished for committing offences of unprofessional.

President of the Court, General Adeniyi has said all accused will be given a fair hearing.
