IS she a bad girl with arresting powers or a victim of a crude joke?

That’s two reputations Constable Mercy Dzafunwa,a female police officer based in Masvingo,has earned for her alleged wayward behaviour.

Her latest stunt is that she allegedly took se_xy nu_des(by some standards) when bathing in a tub and proudly capped it up with a police uniform cap.

Thereafter,it’s alleged that she sent the pictures to an unofficial police WhatsApp group.As fate would have it,the pictures have gone viral finding their way to other social media platforms like the popular Facebook.

She refused to talk to B-Metro referring the publication to national police spokeswoman Senior Assistant Commissioner Charity Charamba.

“The nude pictures which are said to be of Constable Mercy Dzafunwa are not hers but they are photo-shopped.The CID police section is investigating the mischievous people who photo shopped pictures of Dzafunwa and posted them on social media,”Snr Ass Comm Charamba said.

Just when the pictures surfaced,Constable Mercy Dzafunwa had a case before Masvingo Provincial Magistrates courts.

It is alleged that she assulted a Masvingo based human rights activist,Prosper Tiringidi,with a button stick several times on the body before pulling him by his ge_nitals.

She is said to have dragged him to a police vehicle and drove off to Masvingo Police Station.Tiringidi is represented by Zimbabwe Human Rights Lawyer Philip Shumba.

In his statement to the police,he said on 25 February this year at around 430pm at Pick’n’ Pay Supermarket in Masvingo,he saw a group of people and went to them to see what was happening.

Constable Dzafunwa who was in civilian clothing allegedly charged towards him and pulled his ge_nitals.She then took out a button stick battered him several times on the body before taking him to Masvingo Central Police Station.
