Chimurenga music legend; Thomas Tafirenyika Mukanya Mapfumo is braced up for two shows in South Africa in September.

The shows which he calls Biras are set for Bassline (Newtown) Johannesburg, on the 4th of September and in Cape Town the following day.

Mukanya's publicist Blessing Vava told NewZimbabwe.com that the Chimurenga music icon would also interact with Zimbabweans before holding the shows.

"What is exciting about these shows is that, off the stage, Mukanya will take time to meet with Zimbabweans living in South Africa," said Vava.

"The interaction is scheduled for Friday afternoon on the 4th of September 2015 where, as usual, he will share his views on the social, political and economic issues affecting Zimbabwe.

"These are the issues he has been singing about since the times of the liberation struggle."

Vava said Mukanya wants to see young and upcoming Zimbabwean musicians prospering and, as such, he will be performing with a number of ZimDancehall musicians who he wants to see grow as artists.

"He will share the stage with young ZimDancehall artistes, Garry B, Lady Squanda, Freeman, Kinnah, Jay C and Lenn who will warm the stage before Mukanya serenades his legion of fans," said Vava.

Fresh from his memorable United Kingdom tour, held at the end of July, where he performed in the Oasis Banqueting, London, Leicester and Buckinghamshire, Mukanya is promising his South African fans an electric performance, by taking them back in time with some of his yesteryear classics.

The veteran musician will also play songs from his latest album DangerZone, which will also be on sale at all venues of the tour.
