Luanda - At least eight members of the South African police concluded on Friday in Luanda a course on security and protection for important personalities.

The 45-day training was lectured by Angolan instructors under the existing cooperation between the police forces of both countries.

At closing ceremony, the adviser to the general commander of the National Police, commissioner SebastiĆ£o Francisco, said that efforts during training focused on strengthening the operational mechanisms and improving personal security techniques.

He added that with the completion of this training in Luanda, Angola expresses its solidarity to cooperate with South Africa in the framework of the historical and brotherhood relations, forged in the struggle against apartheid and oriented towards solidarity and integration in SADC and African Union.

"The activity to which they belong, based on the protection of physical integrity and protection of the lives of the holders of sovereignty organs, requires from each one actual degree of discipline and expertise in order to prevent any attempt of aggression against individualities under their guard," he said.
