Dolphins Football Club of Port Harcourt striker, Ifeanyi Egwim yesterday, attributed his three goals against Nassarawa United in a GLO Premier League match to hard work.

Egwim scored in the 33rd, 38th and 58th minutes as a 10-man Dolphins beat Nassarawa 3-1 in the resumed second round of the league.

In the match played at the Sharks FC Stadium, Port Harcourt, Dolphins goal keeper, Sunday Rotimi, was sent off in the 18th minute.

Esosa Igbinoba scored for Nassarawa through a penalty in the 24th minute when Dolphins defender, Chikezie Ihunda, brought down an attacker in the box.

Egwim said he was happy scoring three goals and leading his team to victory.

“I feel very good and happy scoring three goals and having the first hat trick in the season.

“I have done it before, but this is my third hat trick in the Nigerian professional league,” he said.

He attributed his team’s performance to hard work, adherence to instructions and team play by the players.

Dolphins coach, Stanley Eguma, said he was happy that his team won the match in spite playing with 10 men and had conceded a goal early in the game.

“I commend the spirit of the players; they were never deterred in spite of playing with one man down and conceding an early goal in the first half.
