The Supersand Eagles continued their imperious run at the 2015 African Beach Soccer Championship with a 4-1 thrashing of Egypt on Wednesday.

On the beach of Roche Caiman Sports Complex in Victoria, where they sliced host nation Seychelles 10-1 on Tuesday, Audu Adamu Ejo’s wards were somewhat stretched by the North Africans, as the first period ended scoreless.

Nigeria went 1-0 up in the second period and then ran riot in the third period, shooting three quick goals past the Egyptians.

Egypt could only pull one back as the Supersand Eagles coasted to a 4-1 win and look to today’s big match against Cote d’Ivoire with much confidence.

Emeka Ogbonna, who hit a brace in the whitewashing of Seychelles on Tuesday, secured another brace, with captain Isiaka Olawale and Abu Azeez, who also got a brace against the host nation, weighing in with one goal each.

Today’s session with the Ivorians is expected to be tougher as the West African rivals possess a number of quality players just like the Nigerians.

However, Nigeria boasts a greater pedigree in the game, with plenty of FIFA World Cup experience.
